The new AR.Drone 2.0 uses a proprietary battery and a proprietary charger which means if you want more flight time you will have to buy a battery and charger combo. This kit uses the standard connectors for both the battery and charger so not only will this upgrade be useful for the AR.Drone 2.0 but in the future as well ... of course this kit will work for the older AR.Drone 1.0 as well. With this high capacity battery you will get 15 to 20 minute flight time! This battery not only higher capacity but it does so with no weight gain. By getting rid of the heavy hard case that the original stock battery has and substituting it with a tough plastic shrink wrap case. Charge times very due the fundamental fact that this is a balance charger. If the battery is unbalance the charger time may be as long as 55 min or a little more ... still shorter than the original battery and charger :)
